The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce

The Sebastian River Area has more than 20,000 sections of land of safeguard perfect for climbing, birding and horseback riding. Sebastian is home to Pelican Island, America's first National Wildlife Refuge, with more than 130 types of winged creatures. The St. Sebastian River Preserve State Park, some portion of the Great Florida Birding Trail, is viewed as one of the best birding areas in the U.S.

Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge, a 248-section of land shelter spreading over 20.5 miles in length, was assigned to ensure natural surroundings for what is the most critical zone for loggerhead ocean turtle settling in the Western Hemisphere, and the most noteworthy zone for green turtle settling in North America Sebastian Inlet State Park is a standout amongst the most prominent state stops in the southeast known for its exceptional surfing and angling.
