Savin Rock Amusement

Savin Rock was an American entertainment mecca in West Haven, Connecticut. It was beforehand called The White City. The recreation center incorporated ious exciting rides, different rides and ious funhouses. The event congregation was set up in the 1870s after business person George Kelsey expanded the trolley lines and manufactured a 1,500-foot wharf toward the finish of Beach Street to suit a ship benefit. Kelsey assembled the close-by Seaview Hotel, with spaces for up to 150 visitors.

A beachside resort developed around the inn and dock, including a bandstand, a wellspring, an observatory, a lush region for picnics, and a merry go round which was rotated first by labor and later by a steed on a treadmill. Diversions were worked by other are specialists, and soon the recreation center had a zoo, a historical center and a move corridor. Promoters sorted out cockerel battles, horse races and prize battles.
