The Elena Gallegos Open Space is comprised of the Elena Gallegos Picnic Area and Albert G. Simms Park, an excellent span of open scenes and wild landscape where guests can appreciate a iety of outside exercises against a scenery of stupendous vistas of the Sandia Mountains. Traversing 640 sections of land at a rise of more than 6,500 feet, the recreation center offers awesome climbing, biking and horseback riding trails, beautiful secured cookout zones with grill flame broils, and stunning perspectives of the Jemez Mountains toward the north, the monstrous Tijeras Arroyo toward the south and Mt.
