Cedar Valley Arboretum & Botanic Gardens

Well known among locals and visitors for its mesmerizing beauty, the Cedar Valley Arboretum and Botanic Gardens is found straightforwardly East of Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo, Iowa. The Arboretum was begun by a gathering of group individuals needing a green space in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls metropolitan territory. The firm of Buettner and Associates, Inc. from Fox Point, Wisconsin, collaborated with neighborhood designer Craig Ritland, from Craig Ritland Landscape Architects to finish the Arboretum's all-inclusive strategy. The primary trees were planted in the spring of 1996 and were named "Sesquicentennial Forest" to pay tribute to Iowa's 150th commemoration. The Arboretum sits on 35 sections of land that was beforehand utilized as farmland.
