Alpenglow at Arctic Valley

Cold Valley Ski Area, otherwise called Alpenglow at Arctic Valley, is a ski region in Anchorage, Alaska. It is situated on Ski Bowl Road in Chugach State Park, in the upper Ship Creek valley adjoining Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.

It touts its openness, being nearer to the greater part of Anchorage's populace than the city's other significant ski region, the considerably bigger Alyeska Resort. The zone incorporates about 500 sections of land with a base rise of 2,500 feet and ascends to very nearly 4,000 feet at Rendezvous Peak.

Cold Valley has three seat lifts, one horse tow, and four dishes. Volunteers of the Anchorage Ski Club work the ski region. Ice Valley is just open on Saturday and Sunday so snow which falls weekdays is first available every Saturday.
