About Shakespeare Birthplace

Shakespeare's Birthplace is a re-established 16th century half-timbered house arranged in Henley Street, Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire, England, where it is trusted that William Shakespeare was born in 1564 and spent his youth years. It is presently a little exhibition hall open to people in general and a prevalent guest fascination, possessed and overseen by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. The house itself is moderately basic, however for the late 16th century it would have been considered a significant generous dwelling.
John Shakespeare, William's dad, was a glove producer and fleece merchant, and the house was initially isolated in two sections to enable him to complete his business from similar premises. Connecting the birthplace is the Shakespeare Center, a differentiating present day glass and solid guests focus which shapes the central station of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. The main thrust behind its development, and opening in 1964, was Dr Levi Fox, OBE, Director of the Trust from 1945 to 1989, with a view to appropriately lodging its library, records and collections. As well as demonstrating Shakespeare-related presentations, the Shakespeare Center additionally gives free to the Birthplace.
