About Queens Park
Queen's Park once had a characteristic history gallery, the Chadwick Museum, began in 1878 by Richard Knill Freeman and opened in 1884. It was subsidized by an estate of Samuel Chadwick, whose statue remains in Victoria Square, Bolton. The building was pulverized in 1957 after the gallery's substance were moved to the new town focus exhibition hall in Le Mans Crescent.
