About Holmes Chapel
Holmes Chapel is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority area of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England. Until 1974 the ward was known as Church Hulme. Holmes Chapel is around 8 miles north of Crewe and 21 miles south of Manchester. At the 2001 Census the number of inhabitants in the town was recorded as 5,669. As indicated by the Index of Deprivation, the town positions as the eighteenth minimum denied ward in the United Kingdom. Holmes Chapel railroad station has administrations to Manchester and Crewe, making the town advantageous for workers. Swettenham Meadows Nature Reserve lies 2.5 miles east of the town and Goostrey deceives the north.
