Chaddesden Wood Local Nature Reserve

Chaddesden Wood is situated in Oakwood on the north-eastern edge of Derby close to the outskirt with Erewash Ward Chamber.

Guide 1 demonstrates the area of the lakes inside the site. The whole wood covers a region of 9.3ha and is possessed by acidic oak-birch forest.

It is limited on two sides by private improvement with farmland toward the north.

The wood was assigned a Neighborhood Untamed life Site DE001 in 1990 by virtue of its antiquated semi-normal forest cause and was proclaimed as a Nearby Nature Save in 1991.
