About Brownsea Island Scout camp

This Island Scout camp started exploring the great outdoors occasion on Brownsea Island in Poole Harbor, southern England, they take test his thoughts for the book Scouting for Boys and sorted out by Lieutenant-General Baden-Powell. The Young men from ious social foundations took part from 1 to 8 August 1907 in exercises around outdoors, perception, woodcraft, valor, lifesaving and patriotism.

Perceived as the world's first Scout camp, the occasion is viewed as the genuine inception of the overall Scout development. Up to the mid 1930s, outdoors by Boy Scouts proceeded on Brownsea Island. In 1963, a formal 50-section of land 200,000 m2 Scout campground was opened by Olave Baden-Powell, when the island turned into a nature preservation region possessed by the National Trust. In 1973, a Scout Jamboree was hung on the island with 600 Scouts.
