Saint Sophia Cathedral

Saint Sophia Cathedral is located in Kiev is a remarkable building landmark of Kievan Rus'. The church building is one of the city's best known points of interest and the primary legacy site in Ukraine to be engraved on the World Heritage List alongside the Kiev Cave Monastery complex. Aside from its principle fabricating; the basilica incorporates a gathering of supporting structures, for example, a ringer tower and the House of Metropolitan.

In 2011 the noteworthy site was reassigned from the locale of the Ministry of Regional Development of Ukraine to the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. The house of prayer's name originates from the sixth century Hagia Sophia basilica in Constantinople which means Holy Wisdom, and devoted to the Holy Wisdom instead of a particularly holy person named Sophia Present-day Istanbul.
