National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts

The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts is a museum in West District, Taichung, Taiwan. NTMoFA was set up in 1988, is the first and the main national-review expressive arts museum in Taiwan. The real accumulations are works by Taiwanese specialists, covering present day and contemporary Taiwanese arts. The National Taiwan Museum was opened on June 26, 1988, under the support of the Taiwan Provincial Government's branch of instruction; it was initially named Taiwan Museum of Art.

It was set up under the strategy to fortified social improvement, based on the requirements of the general population and suggestions from figures in the realm of expressions of the human experience, held by Taiwan Provincial Government.
