The Kutztown folk festival has been celebrated from generation to generation, from the summer of 1950, when three of America’s leading folklorists presented the first Kutztown Folk Festival, with an approach to showcase the outsiders, what it means to be the part of the Pennsylvania Dutch family. Wherein they made locals to participate and demonstrate the way they lead their lives.
Even today one can still find the traditional craftsmanship demonstrating in the Kutztown folk festival, showcasing how they build their country. Their traditional food and music still catch the eye of who all attend.
The 70th annual Kutztown Folk Festival is set for June 29-July 7 at the Kutztown Fairgrounds.
