1. Haryana wants to promote Tourism
Haryana has decided to promote tourism in the state by providing spots for shooting films and commercials. It has enhanced the beauty of available heritage sites, golf course, lakes and bird sanctuaries and ensured that these locations will be highly suitable for filming. He also divided the tourist spots in there category and charges for shooting are applicable as per it.
As per Principal Secretary, Tourism, Sumita Misra, this state has ample number of locations like splendid Pinjore Gardens that is the only Mughal garden outside Kashmir, Morni hill station that houses various Tikkar Taal resorts and Quail. Moreover, these locations are well surrounded by various luxurious hotels and other amenities. Tourists will have semi-permanent thatched-roof huts and ceremonial gates that depict mini-India. For filming the charges varies from Rs.10,000 to 50,000 including tax for about 4-8 days.
The decent heritage rich places and cities in Haryana are Gurgaon, Faridabad, Farrukhnagar, etc where filmmakers will find perfect locations for film shootings. The shooting charges vary from place to place and number of days. Thus, Haryana is emphasis on increasing the tourist complexes in the state for making it a highly suitable location for film shooting and commercial activities.
