The Chilka Lake Bird Sanctuary is situated near Puri, Odisha. This place is known for the Asia’s largest inland sea water lagoon which is called as the  Chilka Lake. This beautiful lake is pear-shaped and covers an area of 1,100 square kilometres. For the migratory birds, it serves as the largest wintering ground. For the bird watchers, it is an ideal place as they keep visiting again and again as some of the unique species like sea eagles, greylag geese, and purple moorhen are present here. To have a spectacular view of the beautiful winged creatures, small islands such as Nalabana, Mangalajodi and Kalupadaghat must be visited.  From Bhubaneshwar, this sanctuary is 120 km away. You should visit this sanctuary from October to March and try boat cruise to explore the best.

Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary is located in Gurgaon. Some of the most colourful bird species.are present there. It is just an hour’s drive from Delhi. Many migratory birds are present in this sanctuary. Northern Pintail, Greater Flamingo, Common Teal, and Siberian cranes can be spotted here. Sultanpur Lake which is a shallow freshwater lake is present there. Nal Saro Bird Sanctuary is present in Ahmedabad, Gujrat. It is the largest wetland bird. Indian Own are rare birds like Spoonbills and Small Grebes can be spotted here. Abhiruchi Kendra, an interpretation centre ‘has been developed in the sanctuary by the forest department. I this centre 225 types of birds have been recorded. November to February is the best time to visit this place.
