This Palace was also called as Taj Palace and was completed in 1893. It was constructed Nawab Vikar-ul-Umra, prime minister of Hyderabad and the uncle and brother-in-law of the Nizam VI, Nawab Mir Mahboob Ali Khan Bahadur.  Falak-Numa means "Like the Sky" or "Mirror of the Sky" in Urdu.

This palace was built by an English Architect. It is in the shape of a scorpion with two stings spread out as wings in the north. Talking about the Palace the middle building has the main building and the kitchen. Gol Bangla, Zenana Mehal, and harem quarters are present towards the south.

The state reception room is the best place in the Palace where the ceiling is beautifully decorated with frescoes. Talking about the ballroom it has a two-ton manually operated organ which is something amazing. Other than this the palace has 60 rooms and 22 halls. A number of Nizam’s artifacts such as paintings sculptures, books etc are present there which are worth seeing.  A library is a part of this palace which consists of a walnut roof. It also has dining halls which can accommodate 101 guests. The chairs are made of engraved rosewood with green leather upholstery.

This beautiful luxurious Palace was converted into a hotel in the year 2010. It is something worth staying and every person cannot afford to stay here. The rooms are like that of kings and queens and you will feel like you have made your own kingdom. Even the food served here is delicious.

 Two billiards tables were made by Burroughs and Watts from England. From those two, one of them is present in Buckingham Palace and the other in the palace’s billiards room. This is something great and one should definitely feel proud of it that such worth possession is a part of our country.
