Now it's partly owned by Taj Hotels. The palace was built by Maharaja Umaid Singh between 1928 and 1943 and it took 14 years to be completed.
The Umaid Bhawan Palace, has been the home to many big celebrities, coincidentally Nita Ambani also celebrated her 50th birthday bash at the same venue and now soon to host Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra wedding in December, the whole property has no room availability from December 1-2, 2018, dates when the couple is expected to tie the knot. Whereas staying for a night in Umaid Bhavan Palace will cost you from INR 30000 to their presidential suites of INR 500000.
The extravagance and marvelous architecture of the property are breathtaking and the beautiful palace has 22 rooms and 42 suites and houses indoor swimming pool, massive banquet hall, library, ballroom, tennis and marble squash courts. Not just that The Umaid Bhawan palace also boasts of palm court marble the same as the Taj Mahal in Agra.
