Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls

Cheonjeyeon Waterfall is a three-level cascade situated on Jeju Island. Cool water streams out of the roof of a buckle to make the cascade. Between the cliff of the cascade and the lower dirt layer, water springs out. In first course, the precipice is 22 m 72 ft high and the water falls into Cheonjeyeon lake which is 21 m 69 ft profound. From that point, the water goes to the second cascade and falls 30 m 98 ft and proceeds to the third cascade. In the long run, the water achieves the sea. Cheonjeyeon implies Pond of the Emperor of Heaven. As per Korean legend, seven fairies would plunge from the sky during the evening and bathe in the cascade's pond. The falls are a prevalent vacation spot on Jeju-do.

The warm calm woodland around Cheonjeyeon Waterfall was assigned Natural Monument No. 378 of every 1993 as a result of the uncommon plants it contains and its incentive for logical research. Uncommon plants, for example, the solipnan plants or skeleton fork plant Psilotum nudum can be found around the falls in the hole of rocks. Since old circumstances, it is suspected that remaining under the cascade on the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month can fix infections by the eighth lunar month, however swimming is currently precluded. On the May of even-numbered years, the Chilseonyeo Seven Nymphs Festival is held at this area. The cascade is one of the three acclaimed cascades of Jeju, the other two being Cheonjiyeon Waterfall and Jeongbang Waterfall.
