The famous Umhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve is a bit of wild at the mouth of the Ohlange River, Umhlanga Lagoon Nature Reserve is a mainstream goal for families who outing and walk the wooden promenade.
Umhlanga is Zulu for 'place of reeds' reflected in no little path by the bountiful quantities of reeds that develop on the banks of Ohlange River in the hold.
It is an asylum for little untamed life as well as for ious wetland and seaside timberland species.
The hold is little at just 26 hectares, yet the trails are shocking and lead through rise woodland, over the tidal pond and onto the shoreline.
At the tidal pond mouth are the remaining parts of a Stone Age ocean shell midden.
