Transfiguration Cathedral

The Transfiguration Cathedral is an Orthodox Cathedral in the Russian city of Tolyatti. Finished in 2002, it is named after the Christian Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord, celebrated on August 19. Development started in June 1992 with the erection of a congregation to pay tribute to John the Baptist and the homes for the ministry. The church incorporates the principle sacred place to pay tribute to the Transfiguration, the southern and northern holy places, choirs, and the west yard, north and south patios, and the storm cellar. The tallness of the iconostasis at the sacred place is 15 meters 49 ft. Before the house of prayer was fabricated, administrations for Tolyatti's Auto Factory District were held in a common level in an ordinary 16– story loft expanding on Yubileynaya Jubilee Street. And still, at the end of the day there was a sign on the entryway: "House of prayer of the Transfiguration".

The inside and outside are of cut oak metal fittings and grilles. The vaults are secured with gold– plated treated steel. The crosses are made of a similar material. The focal arch gauges 26 tons; its development required the utilization of an exceptional custom crane. The building is exceptionally current from a designing point of view: the church building is outfitted with radio telecom gear, ventilation frameworks, a fire and thief alert framework and different correspondences hardware, and open air floodlights.
