Covering an area of nearly 17,445 hectares by the banks of Mures River, the Mure? Floodplain Natural park is home to a unique ecosystem seldom seen in national parks. The park has been covered under many protection acts and is also designated as a Ramsar Site. Apart from being a splendid place for bird watching, one can sight animals like European polecat, wild boar, red deer, European hamster and many more. There is a regular canoe trip on the Mures river that will take you through the heart of Mures Floodplain natural park.
