About Miercurea Ciuc
Miercurea Ciuc is a County, Romania. It lies in the Szekely Land, a specifically Hungarian-speaking ethno-cultural area in eastern Transylvania, and is situated inside the Olt River valley. The remains of three Dacian fortifications were determined in the Jigodin neighbourhood of Miercurea Ciuc; they belong to the Dacian lifestyle of the 1st century. In the Middle Ages it become the capital of Csikszek . Between 1876 and 1918, Csikszereda changed into the seat of Csík County of the historical Szeklerland inside the Kingdom of Hungary.
After the Treaty of Trianon in 1920, it became a part of Kingdom of Romania, and become seat of the Ciuc County between 1927 and 1938. Miercurea Ciuc have become part of Hungary once more between 1940 and 1944 as a result of the Second Vienna Award. In 1944, the Soviet Red Army captured the metropolis. It become again to Romania in 1945, a circulate confirmed with the aid of the Paris Peace Treaties of 1947.
