Covering an area of nearly 80 acres, Vigeland Sculpture Park houses magnificent sculpture works by Gustav Vigeland, one of the most famous sculptors in Norway. There are nearly 212 bronze and granite sculptures with more than 600 figures in it. All the sculptures are personally made by Gustav Vigeland without the help of his students. Later on other artisans were contracted to fabricate the pieces. The most famous attraction of the park is the Monolith which is kept at the highest point in the park. Carved out from a single stone, it has figures of 121 humans. The other attractions of the park are the wheel of life, the main gate, the bridge and the children's park.
