Skjernoy

Skjernøy is Norway's most possessed island. It is arranged in Mandal district and is related to the region by a thin framework, Skjernøysundbrua, which was worked in 1964.

The island has around 390 occupants and is the greatest in the district 5.65 square kilometers. The masses are isolated into a couple of edges: Dyrstad, Skjernøysund, Valvik, Farestad, and Rossnes.

To get from Farestad to Rossnes you have to cross a holder associate that is 110 meters long and 80 cm wide. At Farestad lies Skjernøy Chapel and the old Skjernøy school, which has been changed into a nursery.

On an isle outside Skjernøy lies Ryvingen guide. The zone around Skjernøy is known for its rich feathered animal life. In 2003, it was moreover reported that a wolf had gone to the island.
