About Fritzoehus

Fritzoehus is a non-public estate and palace placed in Larvik. The property has traditionally been related to diverse contributors of the Treschow circle of relatives and the palace itself is considered one of only some in Norway. Fritzoehus become designed with the aid of architect Jacob Wilhelm Nordan and built for Michael Treschow within the years 1863–1865. The manor house becomes expanded in 1885 1889 and 1897 1898. The general floor area includes 75 rooms plus 21 basement rooms, making it the biggest private house in Norway.

Fritzoehus is placed in Fritzoehus Park, which nowadays is a designated conservation vicinity for the motive of keeping the large beech forests and the extraordinary panorama. In the 1,700 6.Nine km2 park there are also walnut, fir, and spruce timber. The park changed into built within the English fashion in the 1860s. In the courtyard stand a water fountain and a sculpture of a bear through sculptor Anne Grimdalen. The park includes a collection of fallow deer and mouflon from the Mediterranean. As of 2014, the proprietor of Fritzoehus changed into Mille-Marie Treschow.
