About Drammenselva
Drammenslaksen was from old the name of a generous salmon that went up Drammenselva to Hellefossen, the veritable salmon deer in Drammenselva.
In 1947 the yearly catch could be in excess of ten thousand kilos. Following sixty years it has been lessened to seven tons.
The salmon season in Drammenselva continues going from 28 May to 3 October, and the salmon festival in Hellefossen is made arrangements for the principle few days of August.
The fish in Drammen is more than Drammenslaksen, in 2009, 1594 kilos of sea trout were gotten in Lierelva, and 770 kilos of salmon and 300 kilos of sea trout in the Drammensfjord itself.
