About Lake Te Koo Utu

Cambridge has a 17.6 hectare stop finish with the lake just minutes from the focal point of the town.

The Cambridge Domain, built up in 1880, gives seven strolling tracks from road level to Lake Te Koo Utu, giving walkers lying levels of inclination and view.

It was cherished by Maori in pre-European days, taking eels, koura and new water from the 5.3-hectare lake whose name makes an interpretation to "scoop plunging into the water."

The grounds are loaded with trees, a significant number of them rarities planted by individuals from the neighborhood Trees Trust. Striking trees incorporate the Cedar of Lebanon, kauris, extensive chestnuts, oaks, and planes.
