DeLaak

De Laak is situated in the Tongelre region of Eindhoven. The locale is situated toward the east of the Center, inside the ring street and is isolated on the south side from Oud-Stratum by the Eindhovens Kanaal and on the north side the Eindhoven-Helmond railroad line is the outskirt.

De Laak is named after the manor that Anton Philips had worked in 1907 on the Parklaan. Philips called his estate after the present that went through the zone, De Laak. Around then it was an open zone between the old town focus of Tongelre and Eindhoven. After Philips took after a few manors from makers. Later the area was extended with development ventures for the higher Philips representatives.
