About Dantakali Temple
Situated within the middle of beautiful hills of Bijaypur in Dharan is the temple of Dantakali. The temple observes the presence of most quantity of devotees in Naatri at some stage in the competition of Dashain. Also, at the event of Maha Asthami, mass sacrifices of he-goats take place on the temple premises. The temple is one of the predominant Shakti Peeths of Nepal. It is devoted to the Sati Devi, wife of Lord Shiva. According to the legends, after the loss of life of his wife, Lord Shiva carried her useless frame on his shoulder and roamed around the earth aimlessly.
After her frame started out decaying, her body elements fell piece by using piece in unique places and those locations later have become the Shakti Peeths. It is assumed that the enamel of Sati Devi fell on the spot where the temple stands these days. The holy e-book of Swasthani Brata Katha has said this and given the name Dantakali as one of the kinds of goddess Durga. The teeth of Sati Devi continues to be believed to be preserved in the temple and it's also stated that the enamel very much looks as if a human idol. The vicinity is lovely with the green hills all around and the sight of the Dharan bazaar from the pinnacle is mystifying. The temple holds first rate non secular importance for the Hindus and it's miles one the must-visit temples at some point of the Bada Dashain pageant.
