Teoloyucan

Teoloyucan is a city and municipality positioned in State of Mexico, Mexico. It lies forty five km north of the Federal District inside the northeastern part of the kingdom of Mexico, and is part of the Greater Mexico City urban region. During the colonial length the place's name had some of versions, which includes Teohuilloyocan, Teohuilloyucan, Theoloyucan, Teoloyucan Coaquileque and Tehuilloyocan. The name comes from Nahuatl that means area of glass or location of crystal rock. According to the Mendocino Codex, the agreement is mentioned as Itzcoatl conquered this place, that means it existed previous to 1436, probable owing its significance to its proximity to Cuautitlan.

After the Spanish Conquest, in 1565, the vicinity and its humans have been entrusted to Alonso de Avila Alvarado. The Franciscans came a year later to evangelize. In 1570 the metropolis became defined as having 4 essential districts divided into eight neighborhoods each, indicating the vicinity turned into already well-organized with a populace of over 1,000 humans, half of whom had been Mexica and the opposite half Otomi. The populace of the metropolis as of 2010 turned into 63,115.
