About Alzano Lombardo
Alzano Lombardo is an Italian metropolis of 13,669 inhabitants within the province of Bergamo in Lombardy. The municipality is located about 6 kilometers north east of the Orobic capital and is a part of the Seriana Valley Mountain Community. The first findings that attest to human presence on the municipal territory are fragments of labored flint, determined within the hilly and mountainous regions close to the hamlet of Monte di Nese, relationship from across the city. The first settlements date again to the 6th century, whilst populations of Ligurian origin settled inside the region, devoted to sheep farming, which include the Orobi. The Celtic populations, which include the Cenomanian Gauls, were delivered to and supplemented from the 5th century.
The latter settled particularly in the Nesa valley, forming primitive camps in what are now the hamlets of Nese and Brumano. However the primary real work of urbanization became the work of the Romans, who conquered the region and subjected it to centuriation, or to a subdivision of land to several owners, starting from the primary century. This work assigned more or less giant plots to settlers and veterans of war, of Roman beginning or acquisition, who reclaimed the land so as to take advantage of it for agricultural plants and livestock breeding.
