Mira is a comune district in the territory of Venice, Veneto, Italy. It is a piece of the Metropolitan City of Venice and the eleventh most crowded comune of Veneto. It is arranged on the Riviera del Brenta, halfway amongst Padua and Venice and it's crossed by SR11 Regional street. The principle fascination are the Villa Foscari, planned by Andrea Palladio, and the Villa Widmann-Foscari. The southeastern part it's described by the "barene", run of the mill tidal pond islands connected by trenches and intermittently submerged by the tide. These barene constitute 33% of the entire comune's surface.
