Krishnagiri Dam

The Krishnagiri Dam is a dam that traverses the Thenpennai River by the town of Dhuduganahalli, situated in Krishnagiri region, Tamil Nadu, India. The Krishnagiri Dam is otherwise called Krishnagiri Reservoir Project KRP Dam. The KRP Dam is found 7 km 4.3 mi from Krishnagiri, among Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri which inundates a large number of sections of land of land around Krishnagiri. The Dam is operational from 10 November 1957, initiated by the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu K. Kamaraj. The KRP Dam Park close to the KRP Dam is produced and kept up by Tamil Nadu Public Works Department.

This is a renowned place of interest. This dam is overflowed with voyagers amid the weekends. There are goofs off the recreation center. The recreation center has kids' play region, wellsprings, grass and Jogger trail. The KRP Dam and the recreation center is reasonable to visit consistently. This is open all days of the week. Ranchers in Periyamuthur, Sundekuppam, Thimmapuram, Souteaalli, Thalialli, Kalvealli, Kundalapatti, Mittaalli, Erraalli, Penneswaramadam, Kaveripattinam, Balekuli, Marichettihalli, Nagojanaalli, Janapparuralli and Paiyur would benefit.
