Bhuikot Fort

The Bhuikot Fort in Solapur dates back to the 14^th century. . It was constructed under the rule of the Bahamani Dynasty. It is a marvel of construction and holds immense historical value.

In Marathi, Bhui translates as land while Kot means fort. There is a temple inside the fort, dedicated to lord Shiva, which attracts plenty of visitors. It is surrounded by lush gardens which add to its beauty. This makes it an ideal picnic spot as well.
