About Neue Pinakothek

The present-day Neue Pinakothek was opened in 1981 and stays on the site of the predecessor building brought up in 1853, which was demolished in the midst of the Second World War. Ludwig l designated the show arranged by Friedrich Gärtner and August Voit for his social event of contemporary painting on the site reverse the Alte Pinakothek to engage a talk between the forte of the time and the old supervisors loved as great cases.

The beats of the Neue Pinakothek was demolished and supplanted by a cutting-edge new building shaped by Alexander von Brancas, in which the show of the Neue Pinakothek and the relationship of the Baian State Painting Collections and the Doerner Institut. While the old Pinakothek Leo von Klenzes was modified after the Second World War by Hans Dollgast.
