About Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg

The Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg is a workmanship exhibition hall in focal Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, opened 1994. It presents current and contemporary craftsmanship and is financed by the Kunststiftung Volkswagen. It takes up parts of the mechanical city of Wolfsburg, which was just established in 1938: innovation, urbanity, internationality and quality. The Kunstmuseum is situated at the southern end of the person on foot zone in the region of the Alvar-Aalto-Kulturhaus, Theater, Planetarium and Congress Park.

The Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg opened in 1994 with a review display on the French craftsman Fernand Leger. The exhibition hall's establishing executive until 2004 was the Dutchman Gijs van Tuyl. He was trailed by the Swiss craftsmanship antiquarian Markus Bruderlin, who was chief from January 2006 until his passing in March 2014. The historical center has been going since February 1, 2015 by Ralf Beil, from 2006 chief of the Institut Mathildenhohe Darmstadt. The Hamburg structural firm of Peter Schweger and Partners arranged the structure of the Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg as a straightforward urban loggia with a broad overall glass rooftop over the open Hollerplatz.
