About Kulmbach
Kulmbach is the capital of the district of Kulmbach in Bavaria in Germany. The town is well-known for Plassenburg Castle, which homes the largest tin soldier museum in the international, and for its famous sausages, or Bratwurste. From approximately 900 AD there was a small settlement in what is now the district of Spiegel, which consisted of a forest motel and a fortified tenant farm to guard the River Main crossing at Grunwehr. The area later exceeded into the arms of the Count of Schweinfurt, whose power became normally exercised through the workplace of the walpode. Kulmbach became first mentioned as Kulma in a deed of gift within the Alcuin Bible among 1028 and 1040. The name comes from a circulate that comes descends the mountain.
