About Frauenkirche

One of the famous churches among locals and visitors and astonishing attractions in Nürnberg's Hauptmarkt is the Frauenkirche Church of Our Lady, a delightful Gothic church on the eastern side of the principle square.

The Frauenkirche was appointed by Emperor Charles IV as a court house of prayer around 1355, and it was the main Gothic church in Franconia. Nürnberg's Church of Our Lady was worked set up of a synagogue which was crushed amid a fierce mob in 1349.

The congregation's rich inside houses the Peringsdoerfer Epitaph with Madonna, 1498 and Hans Rebeck's Epitaph with the Coronation of the Virgin Mary by Adam Kraft.

The critical Gothic Tucher Altar is a fine case of the pre-Duerer age of 1445. The Church of Our Lady was given to the Catholic ward in Nuremberg in 1816.
