About Chateau de Rosanbo

The Chateau de Rosanbo, within the Breton commune of Lanvellec inside the French departement of Cotes d'Armor 22, overlooks the Bo river valley. The origin of its call stems from this reality, as in Breton it way "rock on the BoIt has been labeled as a Monument historique Historic Monument. The chateau, which turned into in the past the stronghold of the Coskaer de Rosanbo circle of relatives, then later of the Le Peletier de Rosanbo own family, is rectangular in shape and has been evolved and re-common at some point of its history.

In the 14th Century, a fortified fortress become built on a strategic headland, positioned 4 miles from the bay of Saint-Michel-en-Greve so that you can prevent the ascent of the Bo through Scandinavian invaders. In the 16th Century, it was extended with a Gothic manor. The homes were similarly extended within the 18th Century by using Louis Le Peletier de Keranroux, first president of the Paris parliament and husband of Genevieve de Coskaer the ultimate inheritor of that name. At the time of this redevelopment, the architect Joubert added a gallery to the chateau and a nook room overlooking the valley.
