"Thanksgiving Day" or "Turkey Day" is an annual celebration that takes place on the fourth Thursday of November in whole USA and the period from November to December is popular as the holiday season in America. The day was primarily started in year 1621 as a religious festival, but now has taken a secular shape to say thanks to matters that were settled or food collected from a good harvest.

To celebrate the day in a much commemorative manner, some spectacular reunions of the family and friends also take place. Yummy large-sized meal involving a turkey stuffing, gravy and maize, different kinds of potatoes, other seasonal vegetables are prepared Plus, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie are also enjoyed along with interesting talks that lighten up the whole mood.

As this day observes compulsory off is many places like schools, government offices, organizations, etc. that further increases tourism in USA. However, public transit systems also do not operate on their regular timetables throughout the main festivity.
Nevertheless, the most eye-catching feature of this event are its parades, some highlighting the advent of the Christmas shopping season. However, you can also see many taking pleasures in football matches organized to enhance the pomp and glory of entire display.
