Puccini Festival is an annual open air theatre and opera festival that is celebrated with artistic zeal in the nation of Italy. It is otherwise known as the summer opera festival. Puccini Festival is held to present the operas of the famous Italian composer Giacomo Puccini. Torre del Lago, a town located between Lago di Massaciuccoli and the Tyrrhenian Sea becomes the cetre for all the action.
The first edition of this event was first observed in the year 1930. With time and participation, Puccini Festival has made its own mark in the opera world. The stage of Torre del Lago has hosted the most famous and acclaimed names of world opera which includes Tito Gobbi. To help celebrate art, an outdoor theatre is built with a view over the Massaciuccoli Lake. Giacomo Puccinis opera work is not the only thing you would get here; his poetic stories also find an aesthetic outlet in the event.
