About Our Festival

Our Festival brings chamber music to the touch of the audience on the historic beaches of Lake Tuusula. The festival, which has become known for its intransigence and transcendental and scholarly rhythms, keeps listeners constantly under the guidance of the Kamus Quartet. Our Festival is an open-minded, cultural-minded, socially aware and well-known festival. At the end of July, the event was established in the historic environment of Lake Tuusula in 1997. The artistic director of the event is the Kamus Quartet. Until 2010, the event was called Chamber Music of Lake Tuusula. Our Festival has been awarded with the Finland Festivals Festival of the Year 2011 and the 2013 State Music Award.

 

Our Festival is organized by the Jarvenpaa Sibelius Society. The club has a long history, it was founded in 1959. In addition to organizing the festival, the Sibelius Society has been established. distributes an annual scholarship for young musicians.
