In , Loy Krathong falls on Friday, November 11. It is a light celebration or Lantern Festival in Thailand on the full moon day in November. The celebration is commended across the country by discharging lotus formed bushels, brightened with candles and blossoms onto the streams. Chiang Mai, Sukhothai and Bangkok are the best places to commend the celebration while going by the country.

On that day, another light celebration, called Yi Peng, is praised close by Loy Krathong in Northern Thailand, particularly in Chiang Mai. It is distinctive in that lights are set into sky lamps.
