Dear ms. Madhuvant
Thanks a lot
We really enjoyed the tour arranged by you. Excellent one ! Accommodation was very good. Only the food part they can improve and give some more options. The bus and driver were very good. Only some seniors found it difficult to climb stairs. Overall the tour was excellent.
Thank you
Regards
Lalitha Balasubramanian

We booked 2 nights on a houseboat through Hello Travel and this agent. Our 3 requests were for premium quality houseboat to go birdwatching in quietest backwaters, starting and finishing at Kumarakom in order to avoid busy Alleppey and a taxi from Kochin. The driver of the taxi started by saying we had to go to Alleppey. We sorted this and drove to Kumarakom, arriving rather late, where the houseboat was basic (mouldy shower room and curtains, strong smell of fuel in bedroom and cramped). Delightful crew drove us through backwaters where great birdwatching, while negotiating a better boat. No alternative boat materialised. Eventually we realised we had been taken to Allappey, then were offered another substandard unprepared boat (6 pm in evening) and had to spend the night in Lake Palace hotel (at expense of agent). Next morning we boarded a better houseboat, but headed off into the lake (where birds were limited - it turned out so that the boat could drop off the crew member who spoke best English for a hospital appointment. the rest of the day was slow steaming to Kumarakom where we wished to visit the bird Sanctuary. We arrived late only had 20mins before captain said we needed to seek a berth for the night. We were promised that we could return at 6.15 the next morning for better bird watching in the Bird Sanctuary. We asked for a quiet place to berth and we tied up by the lake shore. outboard powered fishing boats worked all night and we were on one of their routes round the nets. The captain said we couldn't leave until 8.30 as we needed to avoid fishing nets - and we missed the only other chance to see birds at the bird sanctuary, going direct to the quay at Kumarakom for check out at 9 am. This whole affair was very frustrating and took many expensive phone calls to try and correct. The agent blamed here provider! She needs to get a new provider and LISTEN to people's requests.
