Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Pinnawala Elephants & Imperial Kandy

We will meet you at Arrival Lounge Colombo International Airport & Welcome to Sri Lanka with our Warm Traditional Greetings and your Vehicle is waiting for you to take you to Kandy. (Drive Kandy and en-route stop for your Breakfast).

Pinnawala Elephants Orphanage - Pinnawala located in scenic and moderate climatic environment at a river bank of one side and basically large ground of coconut plantation over 10ha landscape. The orphanage stared in mid 70s to conserve wild elephants and it’s now one of major tourism attractions in Sri Lanka especially due to Baby Elephants and River Bath of the Elephants also there are many opportunities for Volunteering Studies and Researchers.

Imperial Kandy City & Sightseeing - Kandy one of consecrated significance in the Buddhist world, is the home of the Sacred Tooth Relic that the Temple Palace where last Imperial of Sinhalese Monarch fall on British detained on 1815, since before many invades failure to reach even. Day 2 : Kandy

Day 3 : Nuwara Eliya

Ramboda Falls - Ramboda Falls is 109M high and 11th highest waterfall in Sri Lanka which consists 03 sections and 729th highest waterfall in the world situated in Pussellawa area, on the A5 highway at Ramboda Pass. It formed by Panna Oya which is a tributary of Kothmale Oya. Altitude of the falls is 945m above sea level.

Ceylon Tea Trail Experience - Nuwara Eliya is situated at around 2000M above Sea Level surrounded by misty mountains and lush Tea Plants where “Heart of Tea productions” and producing the best tea in the world and Bluefield Tea Gardens is situated at approximately 1200M above Sea Level just beyond Ramboda Falls at quite and scenically environment unique fragrance of cypress trees and the menthol of wild mint and eucalyptus float through the air and contributes to the Teas characteristic flavor which recognized by Tea connoisseurs, it has been said that Nuwara Eliya the Ceylon Tea Country.

This park was name to commemorate the 60th Jubilee Coronation of Queen Victoria in the year 1897. The park covers 27 acres of land. Victoria park is a place to relax and enjoy the natural sights and clean mountain air. This place is famous for bird watching and there are large verities of plants and trees available. Victoria park come alive with the flowers specially during the month of April, when the city of Nuwara Eliya get crowed with large number of locals comes here for holidays time. Kids will love this place because there are plenty of rooms to play.

Day 4 : Horton Plains - Ambewela - Nuwara Eliya

Horton Plains National Park is a protected area in the central highlands of Sri Lanka and is covered by highland grassland and cloud forest. This plateau at an altitude of 2100 – 2300 m is rich in biodiversity and many species found here are endemic to the region. Horton Plains are the headwaters of three major Sri Lankan rivers also Stone tools dating back to pre history and the plains' vegetation is grasslands interspersed with montane forest, and includes many endemic woody plants. Large herds of Sri Lankan sambar deer feature as typical mammals and the park is also an Important Bird Area. The World's End trail is the key attraction and World's End is a sheer precipice with a 870 m (2,854 ft) drop.[6] It is situated at the southern boundary of the park. Another cliff known as the Lesser World's End of 270 m (886 ft) is located not far from World's End. (HALF DAY TRAIL)

Once Nuwara Eliya was tamed by English planters they touched another valuable landmass and found it as master piece land where they made another English ground here where they made it to a New Zealand pasture typically land like the West Coast rolling hills in New Zealand. Just established dairy farm over miles and miles pasture and two distinct cattle centers were established. At present Ambewela popular as a picnic trail scenic beautiful and vibrant in climate and the sceneries where the clouds rolling on the meadows and touch of montane forest canopy. This settlement is connected to main rail line and a railway station is located on one of picturesque railway tracks in the world and the total area climate is salubrious, mean temp is around 17.5 °C (63.5 °F) while frost is common during winter.

Haggala Gardens - Beautiful Haggala Botanical Garden is situated 16km from Nuwara Eliya at cool temperate climate because of altitude is 5400 feet above the sea level with mean annual temperature ranges between 16 °C to 220 °C There are over 10,000 species of flora planted here and during the spring season in Nuwara Eliya thousands of visitors come to see the blooms here. Generally annual visitors are around 500,000 also the garden is famous for number of species of Orchids and Roses are planted there. Also it believed Haggala is the World Highest Altitude Botanical Garden.

Gregory Lakes Nuwara Eliya - Before 1827, the area of present lake had been a swamp with streams running and water sources being coming from the nearby mountains throughout the year. In 1874, Sir William Gregory converted it in to a lake by building a dam with a carriage drive. The total length of the drive around the lake was six miles at the time. Trout fish and carps were abundant then. Boat Riding / Cycling / Horseback Riding.

Day 5 : Ktulgala - Colombo - Negombo

Scenic Train Journey (As per Seats Availability) You will farewell to Nuwara Eliya and board in highland bound train to Ella where you enjoy the scenic sceneries of highland also the beauty of Sri Lanka as your train glides over the clouds above the misty valley through the evergreen tea plantations, forests, bridges, tunnels and sharp viaducts and through your window you may amaze of the grandeur vista over the horizon.

St. Clair's fall is billed as Sri Lanka's Nayagara, or 'king of waterfalls' due to its outstanding beauty. It is 80m in height and at 50m wide, and consists of two segments, known as 'Big St. Clair' and 'Small St. Clair'. Created by the Kotmale River, a tributary of the Mahaweli River, it flows down a slope through an abandoned tea estate that covers hundreds of hectares.

Devon Falls - Devon is located 6 km west of Talawakele, Nuwara Eliya District on A7 highway which is named after a pioneer English coffee planter called Devon, and the Waterfall is 97m high and ranked 19th highest in the Island. The Falls formed by Kothmale Oya, a tributary of Mahaweli River, Altitude of Devon falls is 1,140m above sea level and The best view is from Dimbula where a special viewpoint is located with parking facilities. Almost Everybody who travels on this road to Nuwara Eliya is bound to at least break rest here before continuing the journey.

Whitewater Rafting Kitulgala - White Water Rafting is the most fascinated adventure activity in picturesque Kelani River, covering 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids. Day 6 : Colombo Airport

Colombo City Tour - Colombo city tour will begin at the zero mile post at hotel Kingsbury and drive towards the harbor shrine to overlook northern part of the city and stop at the lighthouse and comeback towards southbound of the Galle Face Green and leisure for while. Then drive again towards Kingsbury and rest at “The Dutch Hospital” where the Ministry of Crabs is located that own by popular Sri Lankan Cricket Captains. Move to the Queens House also sightseeing of Asian Heritage Colonial Buildings and passing Colombo Harbor HQ and enter infamous “Pettah Bazaar” to see the ugly face of Colombo where Pettah is the Wholesale Market. You will move further and drive to High Court Complex, Wolfendhall Church and turn back to Mini Floating Market, Colombo Fort Railway Station, Colombo Town Hall, Victoria Park, Lotus Pond Theater and Independent Square.
