Day 04: Chennai –Tirupati (140 kms/ 03 hrs drive) - Vellore (80 kms/ 2 hrs drive)
After healthy breakfast in the morning check out from the hotel and proceed to Tirupati; it is a major pilgrimage site and is also the cultural city of Andhra Pradesh. It is approximately 20 kilometres away from the famous Lord Balaji Temple situated on the beautiful hills of Tirumala. Reach there and do the prayers later in the evening. Later proceed to Vellore reach vellore and check in at the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Morning after healthy breakfast, checkout of hotel and proceed for sightseeing tour of Vellore A grand 'golden temple', the Mahalakshmi temple, located on a sprawling 100 acres of land at Sripuram, also visit Vellore fort Jalakanteshwara temple, Ratnagiri Murugan temple. Later transfer to Palani, reach Palani in the evening and check in on arrival to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast proceed to Madurai and transfer to hotel. The ancient city of Madurai, some 2600 years old is laid out in the banks of river Vaigai as a lotus flower with the Meenakshi temple in the centre. After breakfast proceed to Trichy and on arrival check in to the hotel. Visit Temples of Trichy one of the very ancient towns of Tamil Nadu, has many interesting relics of Pallay art (7th century A.D.) - only 6 miles away is the great temple of Srirangam - an island on the Cauvery. This is a massive temple with a 100 pillar hall highly decorated with carvings, also visiting Rock fort and its temple at a height of over 23mts. Night stay in Trichy.
Day 09: Trichy – Pondicherry (180 kms/ 3 hrs drive)
After breakfast drive to Pondicherry which carries a strong whiff of the French presence in India. This erstwhile French colony on the east coast of South India merged with the rest of the country in 1954. Legend says that Pondicherry is the place where St.Agasthaya settled down, visit Aurbindo Ashram, the city of dawn, which is 10kms north of Pondicherry. This ashram promotes Aurbindo's ideas in bringing about a synthesis of Yoga and modern science, so as to unite the spirit and matter. Day 10: Pondicherry – Chennai (120 kms/ 02 hr drive)
After healthy breakfast in the morning check out from the hotel and visit famous temples of Chidambram e.g. temple, postures from the Bharatnatayam form of dance are depicted in sculpture. Natraja is Lord Shiva as a cosmic dancer. Later proceed to Chennai, reach Chennai in the afternoon go for the sightseeing of Chennai.
Chennai Sightseeing: sightseeing tour of Chennai covering St.Thomas Church, Kapaleshwar Temple and Fort St.George.
