Day wise Itinerary
Day 1 : arrive leh
Day 1: Arrival in Leh Arrival in Leh, the operator shall transfer you to a Hotel in Leh where you will check in with a traditional welcome. Days rest advised to acclimatize to the high altitude of Ladakh. In the evening we will visit Shanti Stupa, a popular sunset spot with a panoramic city view and, later drop at the local bazaar in Leh to explore the city. Spend overnight at the hotel. Shanti Stupa Japanese Peace Pagoda: Shanti Stupa/Japanese peace pagoda is built by a Japanese religious organization headed by Head monk Nakamura with help from the organization and local people. It is situated at a hill top in Changspa village providing a bird’s eye view of the Leh town. Architecturally it has the Japanese touch with small clean rooms on the side for mediators and the main Japanese shrine at the entrance.

Day 2 : Day 2: Visit Magnetic hill & Confluence of Indus - Zanskar river.

Day 2: Visit Magnetic hill & Confluence of Indus - Zanskar river up-hill although some believe it’s only an optical illusion. Ladakh Hall of Fame: A museum constructed by the Indian Army filled with war memorabilia, martyr biographies & busts, images and weapons used during the Kargil war and other battles fought in Ladakh. Also on display are belongings of the enemy soldiers found at war site. Spituk Gompa: 8 Kms from Leh, it stands prominently on the top of hillock commanding a panoramic view of the Indus Valley for miles. This 15th century Gompa houses interesting icons and thankas of Lord Buddha. The Gompa also houses a collection of ancient masks, antique arms, and an awe-inspiring image of Mahakaal. The face of the Kali image is kept covered and is revealed only at the annual function at January every year. Confluence of the Zanskar & Indus: On way to Sham Valley before Nimu village one can have this magnificent view of two rivers in wed-lock! In seasons they have different colors and flow and wildness.
Day 3 : Day 3 : Excursion to Nubra Stay, world highest motorable road khardongla pass, shayok valley, diskit monastery.

Day 3 : Excursion to Nubra Stay Nubra Valley stay -Hundar sand dunes & camel ride- Deskit Gompa- After breakfast prepare yourself for the ultimate adventure of your life. We will drive through the Kardungla Top to have a magnificent Nubra valley. Visit the white sand dunes in Hundar and enjoy a ride of the exotic double humped camel. Check in at our deluxe camp and if time permits visit Deskit monastery in the evening.
Day 4 : Day 4: Return to Leh hotel via Khardungla & Optional main city attractions on foot:

Day 4: Return to Leh hotel via Khardungla & Optional main city attractions on foot: After breakfast start your journey back to Leh. Rest for a while and then visit Jokhang Buddhist prayer centre, Leh mosque 15th century and Central Asian museum in the main city. If time permits explore the old city mud and brick architecture
Day 5 : Day 5: Leh to Pangong Lake

Day 5: Leh to Pangong Lake Morning after breakfast drive to Pangong Lake on the Indo China border. This route takes the visitor past the picturesque villages of Shey and Thiksey, and turns off the Indus valley by the side valley of Chemrey and Sakti. The Ladakh range is crossed by the Chang-la 18, 000 feet / 5, 475 M which despite its great elevation is one of the easier passes, remaining open for much of the year even in winter, apart from periods of actual snowfall. Tangtse, just beyond the foot of the pass, has an ancient temple. But the main attraction of this circuit is the Pangong Lake, situated at 14, 000 feet 4, 267 M. A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometers at its widest point to which foreigners are permitted, is only some seven km along the southern shore from the head of the lake, but it affords spectacular views of the mountains of the Changchenmo range to the north, their reflection shimmering in the ever-changing blues and greens of the lakes brackish water. Above Spangmik are the glacier and snow-capped peaks of the Pangong range.
Day 6 : Day 6: Drive back to Leh from Pangong

Day 6: Drive back to Leh from Pangong Drive back through the same route passing Chang La pass, visit Thiksey gompa and Shey gompa and palace in the middle. Thiksey Gompa: Situated 19 Kms from Leh and spectacularly placed atop a mountain in the middle of Thiksey village. Thiksey is one of the largest and architecturally most impressive Gompas in Ladakh and is inspired from Potala palace in Lhasa. There are several temples in this Gompa, containing images, stupas and wall paintings of Buddha, religious texts and the largest statue of Buddha in Ladakh is also installed here. Shey palace and Gompa: Situated on a hillock 15 Kms upstream from Leh, it was once the residence of the royal family and the summer capital of Ladakh. A 7. 5 mts high copper statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, plated with gold is installed here. The palace offers one of the most panoramic views of the surrounding villages, grasslands and river Indus.
