Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Paro Arrival – Thimphu 65 kms, 1 hr & 30 minutes approx

Kuzuzangpo La !!!! Welcome to Bhutan- The land of Thunder Dragon. On arrival at Paro airport meet & greet at the airport and transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. This is the largest city of the Royal Kingdom of Bhutan. It is situated in the western central part of Bhutan and the surrounding valley. It was established as a capital in 1955. The beautiful valley is located at an elevation of 7656 ft above the sea level covering total 26 km sq. Having the total population of around 104000 according to the 2015 census. Explore the city in the evening.

Day 2 : Thimphu Local Sightseeing

Today after breakfast you shall set out for Thimphu local sightseeing. You shall be able to visit Buddha Dordenma point: one of the largest sitting Buddha statues in the world, Changgangkha Lhakhang: popular as the Baby temple, Takin Zoo: it has the national animal of Bhutan in a complete natural preserve and then visit Buddha Centennial Park. Evening is free for leisure. Stay overnight at Thimphu.

Day 3 : Thimphu Local Sightseeing

After breakfast you shall be able to visit the following sites: King’s Memorial Chorten: Built in the memory of the Third King, Semtokha Dzong: one of the oldest dzongs in Bhutan said to be built by the founder of Bhutan—Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, Folk Heritage Museum and National Library. Evening is free for leisure. Stay overnight at Thimphu.

Day 4 : Thimphu – Punakha 77 kms, 3 hrs approx

After breakfast, you will set out for Punakha. On the way, you will stop for some time at the Dochula Pass—one of the highest points in Bhutan and is famous for the Druk Wangyal Chortens. After this, travel directly to Punakha. After reaching, visit the Chimi Lhakhang Temple—built in respect of the Guru Drukpa Kuenley. In the afternoon, you can try out white water rafting in the Punatsangchhu River subject to availability. Evening is free for leisure. Stay overnight at Punakha.

Day 5 : Punakha - Paro 143 kms, 4-5 hrs approx

After breakfast visit the famous Punakha Dzong—one of the largest and most famous fortresses in Bhutan. After this you will travel to Paro. Evening is free for leisure. Stay overnight at Paro.

Day 6 : Paro Local Sightseeing & Chelela Pass

After breakfast, head out for Chelela Pass—the highest road pass of Bhutan at a height of about 13, 000 feet. After this, return to Paro. You will be able to visit the Paro Dzong and National Museum at Paro. Evening is free for shopping and leisure at Paro town. Stay overnight at Paro.

Day 7 : Paro - Tigernest Hike

Today after an early breakfast, you shall head out to Tigernest Monastery basecamp from where you shall embark on a hiking trip to Taktshang Monastery—the trademark and most popular sightseeing point in Bhutan, the hike will take around 5-6 hours to complete. In the late afternoon, return to hotel and stay overnight at Paro.

Day 8 : Departure at Paro Airport

Like all good things, your tour is also come to an end today. According to the flight timings, proceed to Paro airport for your onward journey with sweet memories.
