About Sibenik Cathedral

The Cathedral of St. James in Sibenik, Croatia is a triple-nave basilica with 3 apses and a dome within the city of Sibenik, Croatia. It is the church of the Catholic Church in Croatia, and the see of the Sibenik diocese. It is likewise the maximum critical architectural monument of the Renaissance in the entire usa. Since 2000, the Cathedral has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is regularly known as "St Jacob's", because Croatian, like many different languages, makes use of the same call for each "James" and "Jacob". It is devoted to Saint James the Greater.

The building of the church was initiated in 1402, though plans on its production had already begun in 1298, whilst Sibenik have become a municipality.
