About Zhenbao Island

Zhenbao Island or Damansky Island is a little island estimating 0.74 square kilometers 0.29 sq mi. It is situated on the Ussuri River on the fringe between Primorsky Krai of Russia and Heilongjiang region, People's Republic of China. It was the subject of a regional debate between the Soviet Union and the PRC. Fights were battled about Zhenbao Island by the Soviet Union and the PRC, with a significant death toll, amid the Sino-Soviet fringe strife of March 1969. The contention over Zhenbao raised worries that it could touch off a different universe War until an underlying goals of the contention in November 1969.
On May 19, 1991, the opposite sides went to an understanding that Zhenbao Island was a piece of the domain of the PRC; the Soviet troops pulled back. A 2004 Russian narrative film, Damansky Island Year 1969, was made about the 1969 Zhenbao episode. Meetings were shot with members and pioneers from the two sides of the contention. A narrative movie is a nonfictional movie proposed to report some part of the real world, principally for the motivations behind guidance, instruction, or keeping up a chronicled record.
